Unite Against Gender Based Violence
Let’s Unite Against Gender Based Violence
25 November to 10 December marks 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and children. We at Smollan are proud to stand together in solidarity, advocating for equity, diversity, and inclusion within our organization and the communities we serve.
We understand the urgency and importance of addressing gender-based violence (GBV) head-on. It is with great enthusiasm that we remind our teams of our partnership with Primestars on their "What About the Boys" project, a vital initiative focused on nurturing boys into compassionate and responsible men. Together, we aim to break the cycle of violence and foster environments that prioritize respect, understanding, and empathy.
We invite every one of you to join us for an informative session. During this session, we will explore the profound impact of GBV and collaborate on ways to create safe, inclusive spaces within our community.
Date: Thursday, 7 December 2023
Time: 09:00 – 10:00

As part of our commitment to supporting this cause, we will be launching the Smollan GBV Handbook – Strength in Solidarity. This invaluable resource will provide crucial information, educational videos, and helpful links tailored to support individuals across Africa. We encourage you to read through it and share your learnings and insights on social media platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn, using the hashtags #StrengthInSolidarityAtSmollan and #SmollanCares.
To show our appreciation for your involvement, we're excited to announce a giveaway. By sharing your thoughts and learnings, you stand a chance to win self-defense keychains, beautifully housed in personalized Smollan pouches. It is important to us that these products, sourced from local female-owned small businesses, not only serve as practical tools but also stand as a symbol of empowerment.
Let us raise our voices together, becoming agents of positive change within our organization and beyond. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the fight against gender-based violence.
